It's bitterly ironic that Roger Waters could recognize the corruption of stardom back in the '70s and even sing about it as early as 1975, but he has never been able to escape it. He's never gotten beyond the shadow of THE WALL, touring arenas endlessly with a concept album about the damage done by arena touring. I'm a big Pink Floyd fan and even like his last 2 solo albums, but he's turned into the rock music equivalent of Oliver Stone: a champagne tankie.
